Daddy's Pepper Sauce
David Dampier2 cups ACV
1 cups Soy
3 Red bell peppers
3 Jalapeño peppers
1-3 extra peppers (optional: Serrano, Fresno, hot finger)
1 head garlic
1 med onion
1 package Blackberries
.5 cup Honey or brown sugar
3 tsp black pepper
- Cut all peppers into large pieces, they will boil down anyway, lay on tray and broil to blister. (The grill works too). Peel and smash garlic cloves
- Dice Onion, add 2 tbsp neutral oil to large pot and brown onions on med heat.
- Add liquids and fresh ingredients to pot and bring to a soft boil: ACV, soy, honey, blistered peppers, garlic, and blackberries.
- Reduce to simmer, cover, and let cook for about 30-40 minutes until the vegetables are breaking down.
- Blend into sauce, strain.
- Add black pepper, mix, bottle, refrigerate.
